Tiny Desk AI for Teams & Friends
Last updated:
The Tiny Desk AI trend took off with a parody that swapped the Tiny Desk performers for college football teams. Here is how to make your own team or friend-group version, one clip per person.
How the team version works
Each Tiny Desk AI App video replaces the lead singer with one person from one photo. For a group, make one video per person and cut them together, so every friend or player gets a turn behind the mic.
Create your video
1Your photo
Best results: one adult, face clearly visible and facing the camera, even light, head and shoulders in frame. Avoid group photos, sunglasses and heavy filters. Your video keeps the original performance sound.
2Who is singing?
Get everyone's OK first
Only use photos of adults who agreed to it. Do not use photos of minors, public figures, celebrities or real athletes you do not know; use your own team, your friends or your coworkers.
Photos that work
One person per photo, face clearly visible and facing the camera, even light. Team photos with several people will not work; crop each person into their own photo first.
Stitching the clips
Download each MP4 and put them in a row in CapCut or TikTok's editor. Add a name or a jersey number as text on each clip for the group chat or the team account.
What it costs
$7.90 for 1 HD video, $18.90 for 3 HD videos or $28.90 for 6 HD videos. The 6-video pack is the cheapest per video for a group, and you see a free preview before paying.
